Péng Hàogǔ 彭好古 (b. 1552; CBDB index year 1552), hào Xīlíng Yīhè jūshì 西陵一壑居士 (“Reclusive One-Ravine of Xīlíng”); native of 楚黃 (Húběi — modern Huángzhōu / Wǔhàn region). Late-Wàn-lì-era Daoist exegete and inner-alchemist, signed his commentary on the Jīnbì gǔwén lónghǔ shàng jīng 金碧古文龍虎上經 (KR5i0029) at his Huìshuǐ retreat (Huìshuǐ biéshù 會水別墅) on 24 May 1599 (萬曆己亥季夏廿之四日). His Xuánjiě 玄解 reads the Lónghǔ shàng jīng as the foundational scripture of the jīndān tradition, parallel to the Cān tóng qì, and explicitly polemicises against the Sòng commentator Wáng Dào 王道. CBDB ID 207009 records his birth year; further life details are sparse. He is associated in late-Míng print catalogues with a circle of Húběi inner-alchemy editors who produced the major Lónghǔ and Cāntóng recensions of the period.
