Xú Shuò 徐碩 (fl. ca. 1286–1288), Yuán-period official and gazetteer compiler. Native place and detailed career are unrecorded; the Sìkù tíyào explicitly notes that “his native place is unascertained, and his career details are likewise without source.” At the time of compiling the Zhìyuán Jiāhé zhì (KR2k0023) — the principal extant Yuán prefectural gazetteer of Jiāxīnglù 嘉興路 — he held the office jiàoshòu 教授 (Director of Studies) of the Confucian school of Jiāxīnglù, having been commissioned by the jīnglì 經歷 (Administrative Aide) Shàn Qìng 單慶 to take up Guān Shì’s 闗栻 unfinished Sòng-era prefectural gazetteer (then five juan extant) and bring it to completion. He expanded the rubric scheme to 43 categories in 32 juan and added a substantial 11-juan epigraphy section. CBDB index year 1238 (CBDB id 29868) reflects the date of his floruit attached to a SòngYuán transition cohort; his actual lifedates are not fixable from received sources.
