Xú Jī 徐積 (1028–1103), zì Zhòngchē 仲車, posthumously Jiéxiào chùshì 節孝處士 (1116, by Huīzōng’s edict), was a Northern Sòng classicist of Shānyáng 山陽 (Huáiān 淮安, Jiāngsū). Jìnshì of Zhìpíng 4 (1067); recommended at the start of Yuányòu (1086) and appointed Yángzhōu Sīhù cānjūn 揚州司戶參軍, then Chǔzhōu jiàoshòu 楚州教授, Hézhōu Fángyù tuīguān 和州防禦推官, then promoted to Xuāndé láng 宣德郎 with assignment as Supervisor of the Zhōngyuè Temple. He has a biography in Sòng shǐ j. 459 (Zhuóxíng zhuàn — “the upright”), distinct from the Dàoxué zhuàn placement of the Lǐxué mainstream. His name Jiéxiào — Filially Devoted — alludes to his celebrated lifelong filial piety, the principal subject of his biography. He was a student of Hú Yuàn 胡瑗.
