Wùyì 悟逸

Yuán-dynasty Yángqí-branch Línjì Chán master, hào Qiáoyǐn 樵隱 (“Woodcutter-Recluse”). Surname Niè 聶; native of Huáiān 懷安 in Fújiàn. Per DILA A015504: death c. Yuán Hòuzhìyuán 1 / 1334–1335. Abbot of Xuěfēng Chóngshèng chánsì 雪峰崇聖禪寺 in Fúzhōu; held that abbacy twice, the second tenure beginning at Yányòu 1.intercalary-3.1 (7 April 1314) under imperial appointment. Recorded sayings survive as Qiáoyǐn Wùyì chánshī yǔlù (KR6q0318), compiled by his attendant 正定.
