Wéigàizhú 惟蓋竺 (also 惟蓋), a Sòng-dynasty disciple (cānxué xiǎoshī 參學小師) of Xuědòu Chóngxiǎn 雪竇重顯 (980–1052), and the principal compiler of his master’s Míngjué chánshī yǔlù 明覺禪師語錄 (KR6q0074, T47 n1996). Signed each of juan 1, 2, and 3 — containing the Dòngtíng yǔlù, the Xuědòu kāitáng lù, the niāngǔ 拈古 collections (which preserve Chóngxiǎn’s Sòng gǔ bǎi zé 頌古百則), and the Xuědòu hòulù — as compiler. The compilation post-dates Chóngxiǎn’s 1052 death and is bounded above by the 1065 Lǚ Xiàqīng 呂夏卿 tomb-inscription appended to juan 6.
No biographical data survive beyond the compiler signatures. DILA A001075 registers him under the short form 惟蓋 with 惟蓋竺 as an alternate; the “竺” element in the expanded form reflects either a second name-component or an unusual personal designation. Works in the Kanripo corpus: KR6q0074 only.
