Míngzhū 明珠 (1635–1708), of the Yèhè Nàlán 葉赫那拉 (Plain-Yellow Banner) Manchu clan, leading Kāngxī-period statesman and Grand Secretary; father of the -poet 納喇性德 Nàlǎ Xìngdé 性德 (1655–1685). The Sìkù notice on KR1a0139 explicitly invokes the late-Kāngxī Míngzhū faction as the political context in which 徐乾學 Xú Qiánxué attached his Tōngzhì táng jīngjiě compilation to Míngzhū’s son’s name as a vehicle of patronage-currying.
