Cáo Shūyuǎn 曹叔遠 (Sòng, fl. 1208)

A Chéngzhíláng Tàixué bóshì (Honorary Court-Adviser and Tàixué Professor) of the early Jiādìng era. Disciple of Chén Fùliáng 陳傅良. In Jiādìng wùchén (1208) he edited his master’s collection KR4d0233 Zhǐzhāi xiānshēng wénjí, providing a substantial preface that lays out Chén’s intellectual development in five chronologically-fixed stages and that is the principal contemporary biographical document for Chén.
