Cáo Shìmiǎn 曹士冕 (fl. 1240–1245), zì Duānkě 端可, hào Táozhāi 陶齋, was a Southern Sòng calligraphy connoisseur of Dūchāng 都昌 (Jiāngxī), a descendant of Cáo Yànyuē 曹彥約 (zì Chānggǔ 昌谷, 1157–1228). The Shūshǐ huìyào 書史會要 records his connoisseurial method and notes he was a careful follower of the Lántíng xù. His career proceeded from staff-officer to prefectural posts: he served on the Three-Mountain (Sānshān) circuit shuàisī 帥司 staff in Jiāxī gēngzǐ (1240) and held a Zhāzhōu 霅州 prefectural post that ended in Chúnyòu jiǎchén (1244). His one surviving work, the Fǎtiè pǔxì KR2n0021 in 2 juan, was completed in yǐsì of Chúnyòu (1245). CBDB 10844 records the figure but no dates.
