Zēng Tián 曾恬 (d. 1152), Tiānyǐn 天隱, was a Sòng disciple of Xiè Liángzuǒ 謝良佐. Native of Wēnlíng 溫陵 (Quánzhōu 泉州 region, Fújiàn). His record of Xiè’s teaching is one of the two principal yǔlù sources preserved within the Shàngcài yǔlù (KR3a0039), together with Hú Ānguó’s parallel record. Per Zhū Xī’s collation preface, Zēng’s record was the principal of the two early Sòng-period transmissions of Xiè’s teaching, transmitted via Wú Rèn 吳任 (or Wúmǒu) of Kuòcāng 括蒼 in two 篇 form, against Hú Ānguó’s parallel two-篇 record. CBDB id 4201, death year 1152.
