服部東庵 Fúbù Dōng’ān / Hattori Tōan

Hattori Tōan 服部東庵, early-to-mid-Edo Japanese kanpō physician and acupuncturist; associated with the kogaku 古学 (“ancient-learning”) current in Edo medicine, alongside 杉山和一 Sugiyama Wa’ichi (KR3ee052). Cited as a representative of the Edo acupuncture-revivalist tradition in 管周桂 Sugahara Shūkei’s Zhēnjiǔ xué gāngyào 針灸學綱要 (KR3ee040) preface.
