Lǐ Xiūxíng 李修行, style name Zǐqián 子乾, was a Qīng dynasty scholar and novelist from Wúdì county 無棣縣 (present-day northern Shāndōng province). According to the preface written by “Liánxī shì” 蓮溪氏 (dated Guāngxù 11 / 1885), he was a metropolitan graduate (míngjìnshì 名進士) who worked as a local teacher (jiāoshòu lǐ zhōng 教授裏中) and, in his later years, channeled accumulated frustrations into writing the romance novel Mèngzhōng Yuán 夢中緣 (KR4k0183). His manuscript was damaged during the civil disturbances of the Xiánfēng–Tóngzhì period and posthumously reconstituted from multiple manuscript copies. The CBDB entry id 358027 carries this name but lacks date fields; it cannot be confidently identified with this author.
