Northern–Southern Sòng transition official and antiquarian; native of Shǔ (the Chéngdūfǔ region), active fl. 1111–1149. Zì Hǎodé 好德 (from the Hóngfàn 洪範). Compiled the Xīshān tújīng 西山圖經 and Jiǔyù zhì 九域志 in the early Zhènghé era and held the rank of Chéngyì láng; was promoted three offices on completing his Lúzhōu commission. After the Jìngkāng sack of 1126–27, he applied himself to recovering Northern-Sòng institutional documents and produced the Sòngcháo Shìshí 宋朝事實 (KR2m0004)—originally 60 juǎn, of which 20 juǎn survive, reconstructed from the Yǒnglè dàdiǎn. He famously submitted a memorial to Qín Huì 秦檜 admonishing him to “in favour, think of peril” (jū chǒng sī wēi 居寵思危); Qín suppressed the second half of the Sòngcháo Shìshí in retaliation. He also wrote Tōngjīn jí 通今集 in 20 juǎn, listed in the Sòngshǐ yìwénzhì under gùshì and now lost.
