Lǐ Xuánzhēn 李玄真, native of Liáodōng 遼東, was a late-eighth-century Daoist master (dàoshì 道士) active at the Chóngxuán guàn 崇玄觀 on Lúshān 廬山 — one of the state-sponsored Daoist abbeys founded by Emperor Xuánzōng 玄宗 in the second year of Tiānbǎo (743). He styles himself Běiyuè yóuxuán xiānshēng 北岳游玄先生 (“Master Who Wanders in the Arcane of the Northern Peak”), a Liùcháo and Táng honorific designating dàoshì who had received ordination and held the Língbǎo registers. His one surviving work, the Shàngqīng jīnmǔ qiúxiān shàngfǎ KR5b0075 (DZ 391), was taught to his disciple Wáng Yànzhēn 王彥真 and others during a seven-year period from a gēngwǔ 庚午 year to a bǐngzǐ 丙子 year, corresponding most plausibly to 790–796 CE. No CBDB record; the lifedates are undocumented beyond the mid- to late-790s period of his activity at Lúshān.
