Lǐ Jìng 李靖 (571–649), Yàoshī 藥師, was the leading early-Táng general and the principal architect of Tang Tàizōng’s frontier conquests. Native of Sānyuán 三原 (Shǎnxī). Defeated the Eastern Tūjué 東突厥 (630), the Tǔgǔhún 吐谷渾 (635), and other frontier campaigns. Enfeoffed Wèiguógōng 衛國公. Author / co-subject of the Lǐ Wèigōng wèn duì 李衛公問對 (KR3b0010, the question-and-answer dialogue with Tang Tàizōng on military strategy) — itself one of the seven Wǔ jīng qī shū.
