Mid-Míng literary scholar, painter, and biographer of the second-generation Sūzhōu literary establishment — teacher of 沈周 Shěn Zhōu 沈周 (1427–1509), the foundational figure of the Wú school 吳派 of painting. Composer of the appended Wáng Bànxuān zhuàn 王半軒傳 attached to KR4e0047 Bànxuān jí, the principal external biographical witness for 王行 Wáng Xíng; this biography is notable for its cautious decorum in handling the Lán Yù case implications.
