Late-Southern-Sòng 南宋 scholar, kinsman or disciple of 林希逸 Lín Xīyì (c. 1193–1271). Author of the postface (dated 1260) to Lín Xīyì’s Nán huá zhēn jīng kǒu yì (KR5c0128, DZ 745). The postface records the printing of the commentary and its dissemination.

Relationship to Lín Xīyì. The surname match (Lín 林) and the timing (postface dated 1260, within Lín Xīyì’s active period) strongly suggest a family or lineage relationship — probably a son or nephew of Lín Xīyì, given the typical pattern of family-authored postfaces in Southern-Sòng scholarly publishing. However, no firm biographical information on Lín Jīngdé himself is preserved.

Work. The 1260 postface to DZ 745 is his only attested work.

Dating. Active 1260 (the postface date). No other chronological information.
