Kē Qián 柯潛 (1423–1473), zì Mèngshí 孟時, hào Zhúyán 竹巖. Native of Pútián 莆田 (Quánzhōu, Fújiàn). Jǐngtài xīnwèi (1451) jìnshì dìyī (zhuàngyuán); office reaching Zhānshìfǔ shào zhānshì 詹事府少詹事. In the Hànlínyuàn compound built the Qīngfēngtíng 清風亭 and personally planted two cypresses; both gradually became canonical features of the Hànlín compound and entered cultural memory as Kētíng 柯亭 and xuéshìbǎi 學士栢, the Kētíng surviving into the Qiánlóng era and entering the imperial visit-poem on the Hànlínyuàn.
