Yáng Kǎn 楊侃 (964–1032), zì Zǐzhèng 子正, was a Northern Sòng official from Qiántáng 錢塘 (modern Hángzhōu). To avoid the personal-name taboo of Sòng Zhēnzōng (Zhào Yuánkǎn 趙元侃, posthumously renamed Zhào Héng 趙恆 on accession), he changed his given name to Dàyǎ 大雅 in mid-career. He took the jìnshì in Duāngǒng 2 (989) and rose through provincial postings (Xúnzhōu 潯州, Yúnzhōu 筠州, Yuánzhōu 袁州, Yuèzhōu 越州, Chángzhōu 常州, Yìngtiānfǔ 應天府) before being recalled to the capital as a Bīngbù lángzhōng zhī zhìgào 兵部郎中知制誥, then advanced to Yòu jiànyì dàifu 右諫議大夫 and Jíxián yuàn xuéshì 集賢院學士, dying in office while serving as prefect of Bózhōu 亳州 in the first year of Mǐngdào (1032), aged 69.
Ōuyáng Xiū 歐陽修 wrote his epitaph (collected in Ōuyáng wénzhōnggōng jí 歐陽文忠公集 j.61); a biography is preserved in Sòngshǐ 宋史 j.300. Known works include the lost Dàyǐn jí 大隱集 (30 j.) and Xīyuán jí 西垣集 (5 j.), the surviving Zhílín 職林 (20 j.), and the present Liǎng Hàn bówén 兩漢博聞 KR2h0001. The catalog meta gives a death date of 521, which conflates this Sòng compiler with the unrelated Northern Wèi figure Yáng Kǎn 楊侃 (488–531, zì Shìyè 士業, of Hóngnóng Huáyīn 弘農華陰); the dates here are corrected from Sòngshǐ and the Sòngrén zhuànjì zīliào suǒyǐn tradition.
