Mid- to late-Qīng physician of throat medicine, conventionally listed in modern catalogues as the original author of Nángmì hóushū 囊秘喉書 (“Pouch-Secret Throat Manual”), the underlying text revised in 1903 by 王景華 Wáng Jǐnghuá as KR3em030 Chóngdìng nángmì hóushū 重訂囊秘喉書. Almost nothing is known of him independently of the text. No CBDB record, no standard biographical entry; his name does not appear in either preface to the received version, and is asserted only in later bibliographic tradition. His floruit is conventionally placed in the late-Jiāqìng to Dàoguāng period on the strength of the rare-book chains by which the manuscript reached Yú Yǎnghào in Suzhou in 1901, but this is inferential rather than documented.
