Duàn Chéngjǐ 段成己 (1199–1279), Chéngzhī 誠之, sobriquet Júxuān 菊軒 (“Chrysanthemum Studio”). Native of Jìshān 稷山 (Hédōng, modern Shānxī). Younger brother of 段克己. The two brothers — praised in their youth by Jīn Shàngshū Zhào Bǐngwén as the “Two Marvels” (Èrmiào 二妙) — together compiled the joint Èrmiào jí 二妙集 KR4h0071. Jìnshì of the Jīn Zhèngdà period (1224–1232), appointed Master of Records (zhǔbù) of Yíyáng 宜陽. Held office only briefly; on the Jīn collapse in 1234 he refused all Yuán appointment — even the early-Yuán summons to be Confucian Curriculum-Chief (Píngyángfǔ Rúxué Tíjǔ), which he firmly declined. He survived his elder brother by 27 years, dying in the year of the Sòng’s final collapse (1279). The Èrmiào jí was published by Chéngjǐ’s grandson Duàn Fǔ 段輔 (Tài-dìng-era Lìbù shìláng), with a preface by Wú Chéng 吳澄. CBDB person 34965. Yuánshǐ Yǐnyì zhuàn.
