Máo Bānghàn 毛邦翰

Native place not preserved. Active under Sòng Xiàozōng’s Qiándào 乾道 era (1165–1173). Held the post of Professor (jiàoshòu 教授) at the Fǔzhōu 撫州 prefectural school. While Yáng Jiǎ’s 楊甲 (楊甲) original Liù jīng tú 六經圖 (KR1g0006) had been engraved on stone in Chāngzhōu under the Shàoxīng era, Máo was tasked by the Fǔzhōu prefect Chén Sēn 陳森 with re-editing, augmenting, and printing the work as a teaching tool in the Fǔzhōu school. The augmented recension — totalling 309 charts according to the Guǎngé shūmù 館閣書目 ( 70, Shū 55, Shī 47, Zhōulǐ 65, Lǐjì 43, Chūnqiū 29) — is the form in which the work has descended to the present and is the basis of the WYG 10-juàn edition. The preface by the Fǔzhōu Erudite Miáo Chāngyán 苗昌言 dates the augmented edition to the first year of Qiándào (1165). Beyond this Máo is known only by the function annotation 補 attached to his name in the WYG transmission line.
