Yǒng Róng 永瑢

The Qiánlóng emperor’s sixth son, by birth a member of the Aisin-Gioro 愛新覺羅 imperial clan. Posthumously enfeoffed as Zhì qīnwáng 質親王. Lifedates 1744–1790.

A senior Sìkù quánshū editorial figure. Served as Sìkù quánshū guǎn 四庫全書館 chief supervisor (zǒngcái 總裁) alongside 紀昀 (Jǐ Yún), and after the Sìkù was completed in 1782 became one of the principal authorities responsible for the imperial library’s organisation. The presentation memorial of the Jiù Wǔdài shǐ (KR2a0029) recovery was issued under his name. Skilled in calligraphy and in landscape painting; one of the principal Qiánlóng-era imperial-clan literary patrons.
