Author of KR1d0036 Jīnglǐ bǔyì 經禮補逸 in 9 juan — a comprehensive late-Yuán-to-early-Míng compilation of ritual material from the Yílǐ, Zhōulǐ, DàDài and XiǎoDài Lǐjì, Chūnqiū three traditions, and other classics, organised under the wǔlǐ 五禮 (Five Rituals) classification: (吉, auspicious; 68 entries), xiōng (凶, ill-omened; 57 entries), jūn (軍, military; 25 entries), bīn (賓, guest; 13 entries), jiā (嘉, festive; 21 entries). The work is one of the principal YuánMíng systematic Sānlǐ compilations. The Sìkù tíyào approves the project broadly but criticises Wāng Kèkuān’s substantial inclusion of Chūnqiū-recorded failed rituals (e.g., the famous Zhāo 5 Wǔgōng sacrifice, the Xuān 2 Xī Gōng misordered ranking) without commentary distinguishing them from canonical practice — a serious methodological lapse for a typical compilation.

The Sìkù tíyào further notes that according to Chéng Mǐnzhèng’s 程敏政 Huángdūn jí 篁墩集 postface, after Wāng Kèkuān’s death his manuscripts were stolen by an unidentified person who appropriated them as his own; Chéng Mǐnzhèng managed to recover the Jīnglǐ bǔyì manuscript, but the original had been altered. The received text may reflect the altered version. CBDB id 30810, dates 1304–1372.
