Wāng Yóudūn 汪由敦 (1692–1758), Shīmíng 師茗, hào Jǐntáng 謹堂, native of Xiūníng 休寧 (Huīzhōu 徽州, modern Ānhuī). Jìnshì of Yōngzhèng 2 (1724); rose through the Hànlín and the Lǐbù / Bīngbù / Lìbù shàngshū offices; ultimately Xiébàn dàxuéshì 協辦大學士 under Qiánlóng. A senior Qiánlóng-era cabinet minister and leading court calligrapher, Wāng was one of the principal editorial directors of imperial compilation projects in the mid-Qiánlóng period — including the Rìjiǎng Lǐjì jiěyì KR1d0067 (presented 1747) and substantial editorial responsibility for the Qīndìng Sānlǐ yìshū corpus and other Qiánlóng-era classical-history projects.
