Wànlì-era Míng official, b. Zhāngpǔ 漳浦 (Fújiàn) — sometimes given as Yúnxiāo 雲霄. Jìnshì of Wànlì 5 (1577); held the post of Nánjīng Hùbù dūchǔ zhǔshì 南京户部督儲主事 (Director in the Nánjīng Ministry of Revenue’s Granary-Supervisory bureau) when he co-edited and cut the Míng Tàizǔ wénjí 明太祖文集 KR4e0001 with Yáo Shìguān 姚士觀 at the secondary capital Zhōngdū 中都 in Wànlì 14 (1586). Eventually rose to Yánsuí xúnfǔ 延綏巡撫 and is best known in late-Míng coastal history for his warning-memorials on the Dutch threat to Fújiàn in the 1620s.
