Fǎzhèng 法正
Early figure of the Chinese Vinaya transmission, named as the first patriarch (lìzǔ 立祖) in the five-patriarch scheme of the Sìfēn lǜ tradition presented by 懷顯 Huáixiǎn at the close of juàn xià of his Lǜzōng xīnxué míngjù 律宗新學名句 (KR6k0255, X1107): Fǎzhèng 法正 → 法聰 Fǎcōng → 道覆 Dàofù → 智首 Zhìshǒu → 道宣 Nánshān (Dàoxuān). Identification with any specific independently-attested figure is uncertain.
