Fǎzhòng 法眾 (DILA Authority A000720; fl. early 5th century) was a translator-monk of the Eastern-Jìn 東晉 / Northern-Liáng 北涼 period, resident in the kingdom of Gāochāng 高昌國 (the Turfan oasis in present-day Xīnjiāng). According to Chū sānzàng jì jí 出三藏記集 juan 2, during the reign of Eastern-Jìn Āndì 安帝 (397–417) he produced the 方等檀特陀羅尼經 in four fascicles — the work transmitted in the Taishō as KR6j0569 Dàfāngděng tuóluóní jīng 大方等陀羅尼經 (T1339). The catalog tradition variously assigns him to the Eastern-Jìn or to the Northern-Liáng; the DILA authority note follows the Foguang dictionary in placing him under 北涼. His birth and death years and other biographical particulars are not preserved.
