Hóng Mài 洪邁 (1123–1202, Jǐnglú 景盧, hào Yěchǔ 野處 / Róngzhāi 容齋, posthumous Wénmǐn 文敏), of Pó’yáng 鄱陽 in Ráozhōu (modern Jiāngxī). Third of three famous brothers — Hóng Kuò 洪适 (eldest, 1117–1184, author of Lìshì 隸釋 and KR4d0261 Pánzhōu wénjí), Hóng Zūn 洪遵 (middle, 1120–1174), and Hóng Mài himself. Jìnshì of Shàoxīng 15 (1145). Held office to Hànlín xuéshì 翰林學士 and Duānmíngdiàn xuéshì 端明殿學士. Famous as a polymath of staggering range: compiler of KR3l0027 Róngzhāi suíbǐ 容齋隨筆 (the foundational Southern-Sòng bǐjì), Yíjiān zhì 夷堅志 (the largest classical Chinese zhìguài collection, 420 juǎn), Tángrén wànshǒu juéjù 唐人萬首絕句 (the standard pre-modern anthology of Táng quatrains), and the present KR4d0260 Yěchǔ lèigǎo.
