Hǎiyuè 海岳
Mid-late seventeenth-century Línjì Chán monk, shìzhě 侍者 to Bīnyǎ Jiàn 斌雅鑑 in Bīnyǎ’s Gānsù / Níngxià / Hénán abbacies of 1657 onwards. Head recorder (jìlù 記錄) of KR6q0423 《斌雅禪師語錄》 (Jiāxīng Canon J28 B204).
The 海-generation character aligns with a Lóngchí sub-lineage naming convention (海 as one of several possible generation-poem alternatives at this stratum, alongside 本, 行). As Bīnyǎ is a 33rd-generation Línjì master in the Mìyún → Línyě → Yúné → Bīnyǎ line, Hǎiyuè would be 34th-generation — active in the 1660s–80s. Native place, lay surname, and lifedates unrecovered.
