Jìngzhù 淨柱 (Yuǎnmén Jìngzhù 遠門淨柱)
Late-Míng / early-Qīng Cáodòng-lineage Chán monk. Hào Yuǎnmén 遠門 (“Distant Gate”). Lifedates unrecorded. Senior dharma-heir of Shíyǔ Míngfāng 石雨明方 (1593–1648), whom he succeeded in the Cáodòng line tracing back through Zhànrán Yuánchéng 湛然圓澄 to Dàjué Niàn 大覺念.
Major editorial works:
- Wǔdēng huìyuán xùlüè 五燈會元續略 KR6q0013 — a four-juan supplement to the Wǔdēng huìyuán.
- Shíyǔ chánshī fǎ tán 石雨禪師法檀 KR6q0201 — his master Míngfāng’s collected yǔlù in twenty juan, including an extensive biographical xíng zhuàng of the master as juan 20.
Active in the final decades of the Míng and early Qīng.
