Tāng Yuè 湯悅 (originally surnamed 殷, named 崇義 Chóngyì; renamed Tāng Yuè after entering Sòng service to avoid the bìhuì taboo on Sòng Tàizǔ’s father’s name 殷) was a Southern Táng Hànlín xuéshì and high official who entered Northern Sòng service after the 975 conquest. At the time of the Tàipíng yùlǎn commission he held the office Tàizǐ zhānshì 太子詹事. He was one of the fourteen named compilers. The Sòng shǐ preserves only fragmentary references; his earlier Southern-Táng career as Yīn Chóngyì is documented in Jiāngnán běishū 江南別錄.
