Tāng Hàn 湯漢 (1202–1272)
Zì Bójì 伯紀, hào Dōngjiàn 東澗 (“East-Stream”). Late-Southern-Sòng scholar-official of the Lǐzōng and Dùzōng reigns. Patronised in his youth by Chái Zhōngxíng 柴中行 (Mìjiàn), Zhēn Déxiù 真德秀 (西山先生), and Zhào Rǔténg 趙汝騰 (Zǐxiá lǎorén, the figure who wrote a second preface to his Miàojué gǔjīn). Reached high office; his Dōngjiàn yí jí 東澗遺集 KR4c0252 survives in 13 juǎn. The Miàojué gǔjīn 妙絕古今 KR4h0050 was compiled in Chúnyòu rényín (1242) when he was still wèishì (not yet in office); the SKQS tíyào establishes his authorship by cross-reference with Zhào Fāng’s Dōngshān cúngǎo. No firm catalog meta dates (the meta gives fl. 1252–1257 which is consistent with the Zhào Rǔténg Bǎoyòu 5 (1257) preface).
