Wúniàn jūshì 無念居士

Mid-Míng lay devotee (jūshì), otherwise unidentified, who compiled the Bōrě xīnjīng jiěyì jiéyào (KR6c0154) in Jiājìng 12 (1533) at a residence “beneath Zǐwēihuā” 紫微華下. The sobriquet Wúniàn 無念 (“no-thought”) echoes a central Chan term associated with the Sixth Patriarch 慧能 Huìnéng, suggesting Chan-affiliated leanings. No other writings attributed.
