Niú Yùnzhèn 牛運震 (1706–1758), zì Zhēngǔ 真谷 (or 真菴), hào Kōngshān 空山, of Zīyáng 滋陽 (modern Yǎnzhōu, Shāndōng), was an early-Qing classicist and jīnshí commentator. Jìnshì of Yōngzhèng 11 (1733), he served briefly as magistrate before retirement to scholarly study at his Kōngshāntáng 空山堂 studio. His major works include the Kōngshāntáng Yìjiě 空山堂易解 (Yì commentary), Shījīng kǎo 詩經考, Cǎolú zhái 草堂記, and the bǔshuō (supplementary commentary) to Chǔ Jùn’s Jīnshí jīngyǎn lù KR2n0046 — providing for each of Chǔ’s 47 stele facsimiles the height, breadth, location, and abbreviated philological gloss.
