Early- to mid-Qīng Hanlin scholar, music theorist, and lexicographer; native of Tàicāng 太倉 (Jiāngsū). Zì Yòufēn 幼芬; hào Zhuózhāi 拙齋. Took the jìnshì in Kāngxī 30 (1691); rose to Lǐbù shìláng. Continued the editorial work on the Wànshòu shèngdiǎn chūjí 萬壽盛典初集 (KR2m0034) after Wáng Yuánqí’s 1715 death. Author also of the imperial-commissioned Cí pǔ 詞譜 (1715), the foundational reference for cí prosody, and the Lǜlǚ zhèngyì hòubiān 律呂正義後編 (YōngzhèngQiánlóng music compilation). CBDB confirms 1665–1737.
