Late-Míng Wàn-lì-era literatus and parallel-prose theorist. CBDB id 126537, dates 1576–1633. Shūdí 叔狄 (or Tíngxiào 廷孝). Native of Kūnshān 崑山 (Sūzhōu, Jiāngsū).

His principal work is the KR4h0118 Sìliù fǎhǎi 四六法海 (12 juǎn), the canonical late-Míng anthology of parallel prose (sìliù wén) — establishing the theoretical position that parallel prose and ancient prose share a common origin (tóngyuán) and develop continuously, against the gǔwén pài’s dismissal of parallel prose. His other major work is the Dúshǐ shāngyǔ 讀史商語 (Discussions on Reading History), separately catalogued.
