Wáng Péngshòu 王朋壽
Wáng Péngshòu 王朋壽 (fl. 1189), self-styled 魯老 (Lǔ lǎo, “old man of Lǔ”), native of Píngyáng 平陽 (modern Línfén 臨汾, Shǎnxī), Jīn dynasty literatus. He edited and greatly expanded the Táng-dynasty Lèilín 類林 by 于立政, producing the Zēngguǎng fēnmén lèilín záshuo 增廣分門類林雜說 (KR3k0080) in 15 juan, doubled from the original 50 categories to 100 and augmented with miscellaneous notes (záshuo). The preface he wrote is dated “大定己酉歲夏晦” (the intercalary-summer month of Dàdìng 29 = 1189 CE). He is not in CBDB. Píngyáng was the major woodblock-printing center of Jīn-dynasty northern China, and Wáng’s work is typical of the region’s editorial and publishing activity under the Jīn.
