Wáng Zhēn 王禎 (fl. 1290s–1330s), zì Bóshàn 伯善, Yuán-period Chinese agricultural-encyclopedist and printing-pioneer. Native of Dōngpíng 東平 (Shāndōng). Held office as Magistrate of Yǒngfēng 永豐 (Jiāngxī) and Xuānzhōu 宣州 (An-huī). Major works: the Nóng shū 農書 (KR3d0005, his comprehensive agricultural encyclopedia in 22 juan, completed Yányòu 4 / 1313) and the appended Zào huó zì yìn shū fǎ 造活字印書法 (Method for Making Movable-Type Printing) — one of the earliest Chinese descriptions of wooden movable-type printing. CBDB has multiple homonyms 王禎; the catalog meta gives “fl. 1333” suggesting late-Yuán dating.
