Qín Huìtián 秦蕙田 (1702–1764), zì Shùfēng 樹峰, hào Wèijīng 味經, native of Jīnkuì 金匱 (Wúxī 無錫, Jiāngsū). Jìnshì of Qiánlóng 1 (1736); held a series of senior offices including Lǐbù shàngshū, Xíngbù shàngshū, and Tàizǐ tàibǎo (Grand Guardian of the Heir-Apparent). His one major scholarly work — and one of the largest individual Sānlǐ compendia in the entire Chinese imperial bibliographic tradition — is the Wǔlǐ tōngkǎo 五禮通考 KR1d0087 in 262 juan, composed across his late official career as a continuation of Xú Qiánxué’s KR1d0051 Dúlǐ tōngkǎo extending its mourning-ritual editorial framework to all five canonical-ritual classes (jí, xiōng, jūn, bīn, jiā).
