Mid-Táng calligraphy critic and minor official; zì Línglǐng 靈長, a man of Fúfēng 扶風. He served as Jiǎnxiào hùbù yuánwàiláng 檢校戶部員外郎 and as cānmóu 參謀 of the Sòng-Biàn 宋汴 Military Commission, both noted in Xú Hào 徐浩’s Gǔjì jì 古迹記. Active in the Tiānbǎo 天寶 and post-rebellion years (fl. ca. 750s); composed KR3h0007 Shùshū fù 述書賦, a two-juàn fù-form survey of 198 calligraphers from antiquity through the High Táng. His elder brother 竇蒙 (Dòu Méng) supplied the interlinear commentary that accompanies the text — though Sìkù editors note an internal cross-reference suggesting that some of the annotations may be Jì’s self-glosses. Zhāng Yànyuǎn’s KR3h0008 Fǎshū yàolù (847) preserves the work and praises it.
