Mid-Táng calligraphy critic and minor official; Línglǐng 靈長, a man of Fúfēng 扶風. He served as Jiǎnxiào hùbù yuánwàiláng 檢校戶部員外郎 and as cānmóu 參謀 of the SòngBiàn 宋汴 Military Commission, both noted in Xú Hào 徐浩’s Gǔjì jì 古迹記. Active in the Tiānbǎo 天寶 and post-rebellion years (fl. ca. 750s); composed KR3h0007 Shùshū fù 述書賦, a two-juàn fù-form survey of 198 calligraphers from antiquity through the High Táng. His elder brother 竇蒙 (Dòu Méng) supplied the interlinear commentary that accompanies the text — though Sìkù editors note an internal cross-reference suggesting that some of the annotations may be Jì’s self-glosses. Zhāng Yànyuǎn’s KR3h0008 Fǎshū yàolù (847) preserves the work and praises it.
