Luó Rǔfāng 羅汝芳 (hào Jìnxī 近溪; 1515–1588 CE), a leading Ming Neo-Confucian philosopher of the Tàizhōu 泰州 school deriving from 王陽明 Wáng Yángmíng. He emphasized the doctrine of liángzhī 良知 (innate knowing) and was the teacher of 楊起元 Yáng Qǐyuán. His thought combined Confucian moral cultivation with engagement with Buddhist and Daoist ideas, characteristic of late-Ming syncretism.
