Shèngzǔ 聖祖 of the Qīng — Xuányè 玄燁 (1654–1722), reigning under the Kāngxī 康熙 era-name (1661–1722), posthumously Rénhuángdì 仁皇帝 — second emperor of the Qīng dynasty at Beijing and one of the longest-reigning emperors in Chinese history (61 years). Patron of major Lǐxué-canonical compilations: the Yù zuǎn xìnglǐ jīng yì 御纂性理精義 (KR3a0107) under Lǐ Guāngdì’s supervision, and the Yù zuǎn Zhūzǐ quán shū 御纂朱子全書 (KR3a0108) co-supervised by Lǐ Guāngdì and Xióng Cìlǚ 熊賜履. Author of Shèng yù shíliù tiáo 聖諭十六條 (the Sixteen Maxims) which were extended by Yōngzhèng into the Shèng yù guǎng xùn 聖諭廣訓 (KR3a0102). Posthumously the yǔlù of his court conversations were compiled by his successor as Shèngzǔ Rénhuángdì tíngxùn gé yán 聖祖仁皇帝庭訓格言 (KR3a0103).
