Note: the catalog meta of KR4h0111 confused him with an earlier Yuán-era 胡松 with dates 1274–1357 (CBDB id 104865); the Míng anthologist is the Tóngchéng / Chúyáng man of the Jiājìng era. Jìnshì of Jiājìng 1521 (according to standard sources).
Served as Shānxī ànchásī tíxué fùshǐ (Vice Education Commissioner of Shānxī) at the time of compiling the KR4h0111 TángSòngYuán míngbiǎo 唐宋元名表 (5 juǎn, prefaced Jiājìng rényín / 1542). The anthology served as an examination-preparation model for second-stage civil-service candidates’ biǎo compositions. His other major work, the Chúzhōu zhì (Chúzhōu gazetteer), is separately catalogued.
