Zhuāng Guǎng 莊廣
Late-Míng lay-Buddhist scholar, hào Huánrú lǎorén 還如老人 (“Old Man of Returning-As-Such”) and Xīfāng jūshì 西方居士 (“Layman of the West”). His exact lifedates are not preserved; he was active in the late Wànlì (萬曆) reign and was a serious lay disciple in the Yúnqī Zhūhóng 袾宏 circle. His major surviving work is the 《淨土資糧全集》 Jìngtǔ zīliáng quánjí KR6p0065 (X1162, 6 juǎn), a comprehensive Pure Land anthology compiled by Zhuāng Guǎng (under his sobriquet Huánrú) and edited / collated by 袾宏 Yúnqī Zhūhóng. The work was completed in the mid-Wànlì period and is one of the principal lay-compiled Pure Land anthologies of the late Míng. Beyond this work no substantial biographical record survives.
