Yè Sēn 葉森 (1265–1322; CBDB id 109719) was a Yuán-period scholar and prosopographical compiler. The lifedates come from CBDB’s Yuán biography file; the Sìkù editors identify him simply as the Yuánrén 元人 responsible for supplementing Liáng Yuándì and Lù Shànjīng’s Gǔjīn tóngxìngmíng lù (KR3k0001) with additional entries on Táng, Sòng and Jīn–Yuán figures. His native place and offices are not recorded in the surviving sources; what is preserved of his hand is only the strand of annotation embedded in the Yǒnglè dàdiǎn recension of the Tóngxìngmíng lù, from which the Sìkù compilers recovered it.
Yè Sēn 葉森 (1667–1729; CBDB id 73069). A separate Qīng-period figure of the same name, dated by the Qīngdài rénwù shēngzú nián biǎo 清代人物生卒年表 (entry 3125) to Kāngxī 6 – Yōngzhèng 7. Unrelated to the Yuán prosopographer above and unconnected with the Kanripo lèishū tradition; included here only to disambiguate.
