Dǒng Hànjié 董漢傑 (style Chéngzhāi 誠齋, fl. 1713–1716), early-Qīng Hànjūn (Han Chinese Banner) magistrate of Xīncài 新蔡. Author of the 1716 (Kāngxī wǔshíwǔ nián wǔ yuè 康熙五十五年五月) reprint preface to 武之望 Wǔ Zhīwàng’s Zhěnkē lèibiān 疹科類編 (KR3ej062). According to the preface, Dǒng’s father had owned a copy of Wǔ’s text and used it to treat hundreds of children during the 1617 and 1621 epidemic outbreaks; Dǒng himself in 1713 used the same recension at Beijing to treat over a thousand patients without a single failure. The 1716 reprint became the foundation of the late-Qīng circulation of the work.
