Liánxī jūshì 蓮西居士
Late-Qīng Xiánfēng 咸豐 era (1851–1861) lay Buddhist editor (jūshì 居士 = lay practitioner) of an emended printing of 周夢顏 Zhōu Mèngyán’s Jièshā sìshíbā wèn 戒殺四十八問 (KR6k0262, X1138). The pseudonymous lay style Liánxī jūshì (“Lay Householder of the West [of the] Lotus”) is preserved in a parenthetical Xiánfēng-era anecdote interpolation in the Xùcáng exemplar — postdating Zhōu’s death by over a century.
