Xiāo Gāng 蕭綱 (503–551 CE; zì Shìzàn 世贊; posthumous temple name Jiǎnwén dì 簡文帝) was the third son of Liáng Wǔdì 梁武帝 and the Liáng dynasty Emperor Jianwen. He served as Crown Prince from 531 CE following the death of Xiao Tong 蕭統, and as emperor only nominally during the Hou Jing rebellion (548–549), being murdered in 551. He was the central patron and practitioner of the Palace Style (gōngtǐ 宮體) poetic movement, gathering at his Xuányuán 玄圃 garden literary salon such poets as Yǔ Jiānwú 庾肩吾, Xú Líng 徐陵, and his brother Xiao Yi. His reconstructed collected works are KR4b0065.
