Xuē Sānshěng 薛三省 ( Lǔshū 魯叔, hào Fúfēng 浮峰, c. 1555 – c. 1634), late-Míng official and friend of the Níngbō medical lineage. Jìnshì in Wànlì 23 (1595); served at the Hànlín Academy as 翰林院侍講 and as 右春坊右諭德 in the eastern-palace tutorial establishment of the imperial heir. A native of Dìnghǎi 定海 (Níngbō, Zhèjiāng) and a personal friend of the elder brother of 趙獻可 Zhào Xiànkě; in this capacity he wrote the Yīwūlǘ zǐ Yīguàn xù 醫巫閭子醫貫序 prefatory introduction to Zhào’s Yīguàn (KR3er001), which became the canonical late-Míng prefatory framing of the Mìngmén school. CBDB (362264) gives c_index_year 1571; the slightly later birth-bracket given here follows the consensus of late-Míng official-biography reference works, which place his jìnshì career trajectory in the period 1595–1620.
