Fujiwara no Otsugu 藤原緒嗣 (774–843), early-Heian-period Japanese statesman, udaijin 右大臣 and co-compiler of the Nihon kōki 日本後紀. Famously submitted a resignation memorial of Daidō 3 (808) attributing his ill health to kakke 脚気 (beriberi) — recorded in the Nihon kōki and cited in KR3eh054 as the earliest dated reference to the disease in Japan.
